With the new Santander scholarship program, university students and young professionals can improve their digital skills and abilities through 6 training programs that include blockchain, machine learning, and much more.

With registration open from next October 5, the SCHEDULE of Santander scholarships, Santander Digital & Innovation Scholarships for MIT Professional Education, will offer 400 university scholarships for the development of new digital skills in young students and professionals. The bank's initiative was born due to the global situation faced by the COVID-19 pandemic, which has left millions of professionals unemployed and millions of other young students with a very low hope of employability.

The entity considers that the current crisis is driving a transformative change that not only has influence within financial systems but also within labor markets. Therefore, with the vision of encouraging organizations and companies to support digital and remote labor initiatives, Santander Bank is developing this scholarship program to improve the labor competitiveness of all those people who have lost their jobs during the crisis and the pandemic.

Javier Rogla, global director of Santander Universities, affirms that the current pandemic has only accelerated the transformation process in the labor market, which now more than ever demands transversal and digital skills for the development of industries and society. Due to this, universities and educational organizations have the enormous task of developing training plans that encourage continuous updating of everyone's professional skills and abilities. Thus, Santander's scholarship programs are developed so that university students and young professionals can find the best way to face the challenges presented by our current society.
