📍Anthropic receives multimillion-dollar investment from Amazon. Anthropic, a US artificial intelligence research and development startup founded by former OpenAI members, has received an investment of up to $4.000 billion from Amazon, the Washington-based e-commerce and cloud services corporation.
Via X (formerly Twitter), Anthropic reported that Amazon has agreed to invest the multi-million dollar sum to support the development of new reliable, high-performance foundation models that will enable Amazon to improve existing applications and create new experiences for its customers.
Anthropic highlighted that Amazon will also provide its computing infrastructure to drive the development of Artificial Intelligence and advance towards the next frontier of AI security and research. In addition to this, Anthropic noted that Amazon will take a minority stake in the startup, ensuring that its corporate governance structure will remain unchanged.
For the benefit of Amazon, Anthropic will provide support and enhancements to Bedrock, the fully managed service for Amazon's entry-level models.

The digital euro is at least two years away
