NFT marketplace Magic Eden has unveiled its own cross-chain wallet, compatible with the Solana, Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Polygon blockchain networks.
Magic Eden aims to optimize the NFT market by offering users a new cross-chain wallet that facilitates cryptocurrency exchange operations between different blockchains, to optimize the purchase and sale of non-fungible tokens.
Through this new wallet, called Magic Eden Wallet, the NFT marketplace platform based on the Solana blockchain, seeks to improve the user experience by exploring the non-fungible token sector.
Solana and Magic Eden ecosystem manager, known as “Voh,” detailed The new cross-chain Magic Eden Wallet combines the functions of a wallet with those of a marketplace, allowing users to perform both cryptocurrency exchange operations between the industry’s top four blockchains and NFT buying and selling operations. The new cross-chain wallet also offers users credit card payments to facilitate the acquisition of cryptocurrencies.
Voh noted that the official launch of this new cross-chain wallet will take place in the first quarter of 2024, so for now, the new Magic Eden wallet is only available in beta version.
Magic Eden facilitates interoperability in NFTs
The cross-chain wallet that Magic Eden has launched to optimize the user experience when buying and exchanging NFT tokens has received great acceptance from the crypto community.

This new cross-chain wallet offers an easier solution for users to acquire cryptocurrencies and NFTs, without having to resort to chain bridges to transfer crypto assets from one blockchain to another.
A self-custody cross-chain wallet
Jack Lu, co-founder and CEO of Magic Eden, described that one of the main goals with Magic Eden Wallet, in addition to optimizing operations in the NFT marketplace, was to ensure the Web3 spirit.
The new cross-chain wallet was therefore designed to be self-custodial, so that users can keep their crypto assets and NFTs in their possession. In this regard, Lu commented that interoperability, decentralization and self-custody are essential for the development of the NFT market and Web3.
The full version of Magic Eden Wallet will be compatible with Google's Chrome web browser and, in the future, Apple's Safari web browser. Magic Eden is also preparing a version of its cross-chain wallet that will be compatible with smartphones, Lu said.
NFT marketplace Magic Eden is one of the most innovative projects in the crypto space. Earlier this month, it partnered with the company Yuga Labs to incentivize creativity and secure royalties for NFT artists and creators. Similarly, the NFT marketplace was deployed on Ethereum’s scaling blockchain Polygon as part of a strategy to expand beyond the Solana ecosystem.
