Film production company Enderby Entertainment will release its first thriller, starring Anthony Hopkins, on feature film NFT platform Vuele.
On Wednesday, global film and television production company Enderby Entertainment announced that it will premiere its first feature film, called “Zero Contact,” on its newly created feature film NFT platform Vuele.
The feature film NFT platform was launched this year in June to capture the growing interest of artists, musicians and the general public in this type of digital asset. In addition, as reported by Rick Dugdale, director of Enderby Entertainment, Vuele helps producers to guarantee their copyrights, creating “scarcity of copies of the film” and protecting their film productions against piracy and illegal reproduction.
Dugdale also noted that filming Zero Contact was quite an experience and a challenge, as it was shot in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic and required filming in 17 countries around the world. For this reason, Dugdale believes that the feature film “is a unique opportunity to be part of history” and what better way to do it than by using the disruptive potential of blockchain.

NFTs and the film industry
In releaseEnderby Entertainment says Zero Contact will launch later this summer on its new NFT platform, which seeks to facilitate access to these non-fungible tokens for users and fans.
Zero Contact, starring Anthony HopkinsThe two-time Academy Award winner is an unconventional film. The plot follows five characters from around the world who must work together to destroy a secret machine created by “tech titan Finley Hart,” played by Hopkins.
Vuelve operates as a subscription-based direct-to-consumer NFT viewing and distribution platform, seeking to capitalize on the frenzy that these assets sparked in the markets earlier this year. Enderby Entertainment stated that its platform will allow users to purchase exclusive limited edition films and enjoy collector content to watch, collect, sell, and trade within the same platform, such as NFT tokens. Vuele will facilitate access to behind-the-scenes content, additional features, gifs, cast exclusives, and much more, adding additional value to each production.
The platform was born from the association of the film production company with the fintech firm CurrencyWorks. Although the company has not revealed the costs of the productions that will be presented on Vuele, it did indicate that users will be able to use cryptocurrencies, or traditional credit cards to access their exclusive content.

NFTs moved value by 2.500 million in sales during the first half of the year, which gives us an idea of the boom and demand for non-fungible tokens in the markets.
Reuters reviewed data from several industry providers to show the impressive growth that these digital assets had in the first 6 months of the year. Compared to the first half of 2020, the NFT market grew by more than 18.000%, going from a sales volume of $13,7 million last year to more than $2.500 billion this 2021.
NFTs have attracted the attention of dozens of well-known artists and musicians, such as Paris Hilton, Katy Perry, Grimes, and many others, who want to take advantage of the potential of these assets to offer exclusive content and protect ownership. Large corporations and companies from different industries have also begun to venture into the world of NFTs, such as Fox Entertainment, Sotheby's, eBay, among others.
