“Cardano is better than ever,” according to the developer who fixed the bug on the testnet

The bugs from the latest Cardano node update have been fixed and Vasil will be deployed to the mainnet soon.

Following the latest news reporting bugs resulting from the latest versions of the Cardano node, the developer who fixed these errors has stated that these bugs are now resolved and that the community will be able to test Vasil on the new testnet soon. The developer also explained that Cardano is now “better than ever” and that Vasil will be deployed to the mainnet this month if everything goes well.

The problems related to Vasil have been gradually overcome as the actors involved in the project have joined forces to continue making progress.

Adam Dean, the developer who reported some issues on the testnet for the upcoming Vasil hard fork, made these statements on Twitter, also explaining that testing for the Cardano upgrade was now better than ever, especially after the effort to “build together.”

The tweet was posted after the same developer and Cardano community influencer explained that the Cardano network was “catastrophically broken” due to a bug in Node version 1.35.2. Furthermore, Andrew Westberg, another important influencer for the Cardano system, also expressed his concerns and both called on the community to conduct further testing of version 1.35.3 before the hard fork. The two developers were critical of the upgrade process, as they explained that this procedure was being rushed and that SPO operators were being called upon to upgrade despite these issues and insufficient testing.

Following this, Input Output (IOG), the company behind the development of Cardano, released version 1.35.3 and now Westberg and Dean's positioning has changed after IOG and members of the Cardano community have joined forces to do further testing. Following this event, the community has been successfully testing the mixed node environment on a new test network that has been identified as YoloNet or Mixed.

Following these tests, it has been confirmed that nodes running versions 1.34.1, 1.35.2 and 1.35.3 can coexist and that errors from version 1.35.2 will not spread. Thus, as Dean introduced on Twitter, other Cardano experts such as the developer of Plutus and operator of the Cardano pool Logic, have also confirmed that nodes 1.34.1 and 1.35.3 have returned to normal.

Vasil could be closer than ever

Likewise, many of these experts who have used the testnet have also hinted that the deployment of the Vasil fork on the Cardano mainnet could soon take place.

Hoskinson also shared his thoughts on recent developments, saying he regretted that so many pessimistic headlines had emerged around Vasil and confirmed the importance of a much more collaborative approach.

Similarly, the founder of Cardano has explained that a major analysis of Vasil and where the network's development currently stands will be published shortly. In this way, the solution to the errors suggests that the Cardano mainnet could soon see the arrival of Vasil, a highly anticipated update that will be introduced through a hard fork and that will greatly increase Cardano's scaling capabilities.

Considered by many to be one of the most important Cardano updates, Vasil will mark the transition to the Basho era, a stage in which the scalability, optimization and interoperability of this network will be improved. Thus, the Vasil hard fork combinator (HCF) is expected to take place next Monday, as 75% of the mainnet stake pool nodes move to version 1.35.3. This means that there is a good chance that Vasil will be implemented on the Cardano mainnet before the end of the month.

Cardano is the most popular coin on Instagram

Furthermore, taking into account all these developments, a study carried out by a media outlet specialising in cryptocurrencies has shown that the most popular crypto on Instagram is Cardano. The most popular Instagram hashtag when it comes to cryptocurrencies is none other than “#Cardano.” In addition, it ranks ninth in daily publications and fifth in likes and comments, making it without a doubt one of the cryptocurrencies with the strongest community around it on social media.
