ATH21 and Bit2Me, the first Spanish company recognized as a virtual currency service provider, have developed the first crypto compensation fund for employees. This is a corporate loyalty fund based on some of the main cryptocurrencies on the market, which shows ATH21's great confidence in cryptocurrencies.

This type of compensation or loyalty fund is more attractive than the classic phantom plans or stock options, since the tax treatment is much more advantageous and the output of the product is measurable and secure. The income for the creation of this employee compensation program is obtained with the profits of ATH21, since each quarter this company will allocate ten percent of its net profits to this virtual cryptocurrency portfolio.

ATH21 and Bit2Me have collaborated to develop this tangible incentive program for employees and, in addition to providing the cryptocurrencies, will carry out the exchange, purchase and sale operations of cryptocurrencies for fiat currency.

Bit2Me CSO Abel Peña explained that this is an agreement that serves as an example of the remuneration policy with employees in mind, serving to encourage their motivation and permanence in the company with the assurance that this will materialize in the future.

It is key to retain talent in organizations

For ATH21 CEO Cristina Carrascosa, it is essential to retain talent in today's markets, which are clearly becoming more and more competitive. Carrascosa says that this instrument has been designed because stock option or phantom share plans generate great uncertainty and it is essential that work teams participate in the company's profit without assuming risks or costs. Many clients have therefore requested help to implement this type of plan in their organisations, as this is the future of corporate loyalty programmes.

Finally, Abel Peña has stated that “at Bit2Me we are delighted to provide peace of mind to ATH21 in its operations of buying, selling, exchanging, liquidating and future custody of cryptocurrencies. With this type of program, practices born from the crypto ecosystem will begin their journey to non-crypto sectors” also noting that “it is a pleasure to be part of innovations that Spanish companies like ATH21 launch and manage to take steps in the direction that we try to promote, bringing us closer to the path of turning Spain into a world crypto reference”.
