Web3 app De.Fi has launched Network Scanner, the crypto industry's first antivirus, on Polygon.
De.Fi developers have introduced Scanner, the industry’s first crypto antivirus, which works as an innovative security tool powered by machine learning to ensure protection against potential scams and fraudulent projects.
As the developers commented on Twitter, the new tool offers a multi-layered security solution that can be used to verify the authenticity and trustworthiness of a smart contract. That is, users can insert the address of a smart contract of any project, be it tokens, NFTs, staking, among others, into the antivirus solution to verify the security of the contract.
Scanner allows users to detect possible errors and vulnerabilities in a contract and check that there is no malicious code hidden. Developers can also use the security tool to find out about existing errors and their exact location within the contract.
Scanner and Shield are deployed on Polygon Network
The new Scanner security tool was deployed to the Polygon Network sidechain on Tuesday, May 23. Alongside the deployment of this tool, De.Fi developers also announced the integration of Shield into the Ethereum sidechain.
The latter is a security tool that works like a traditional antivirus, allowing users to automatically scan all available tokens in a wallet. Shield also scans token contract approvals in wallets, the project's developers reported. With this tool, users can learn about any existing risks with the projects and DApps they interact with, as well as being able to revoke approvals to maximize their security.
The goal of these two crypto security tools integrated into Polygon Network is to help users protect themselves against potential fraud, scams, and malicious projects.
Security in the cryptocurrency industry has become a topic of great interest for project developers today, seeking to offer an optimal user experience to users as they navigate the crypto space and explore its many opportunities.
