Ajman has created the world's first police unit in the metaverse

Ajman, one of the seven emirates that make up the United Arab Emirates, has launched the first police agency in the metaverse. 

Ajman Police is providing citizens with new virtual public safety services, using metaverse technology. The new services will allow citizens of the emirate to communicate with the police force remotely within the virtual world, through digital avatars. 

La presentation The launch of the new virtual agency of the Ajman Police took place during Gitex Technology Week, which was held at the World Trade Center business complex in Dubai. 

During the event, Lieutenant Colonel Mohammed Abdullah Abu Shehab of the Ajman Police General Command said that the police's entry into the metaverse aims to explore the benefits of this technological innovation in the police field, both for the security agency and for the users and citizens of the emirate. 

The news was shared on Twitter from the official Ajman Police account. In the post, several police officers can be seen using virtual reality glasses to boost the intelligent transformation of their services and offer them in an accessible way within the metaverse. 

Dubai, like Ajman, will also offer virtual police services

In addition to the Ajman Police, the Emirati newspaper Khaleej Times reported that Dubai Police is also launching a smart app to offer its citizens the ability to access police and public security services within the virtual world. 

The newspaper detailed that the smart application being implemented by Dubai Police will be available in seven languages, including Arabic, English, Russian, German, Chinese, French and even Spanish.

In addition to this, Dubai is also developing a suite of premium services within its smart app. This premium suite includes 70 different services that have been developed using the latest technological advancements, such as new programming languages, artificial intelligence techniques, and much more.

Dubai continues to advance in the virtual world

Although the Ajman police force was the first in the United Arab Emirates and the world to offer its services in the metaverse, the city of Dubai has made significant progress in this area. 

In May this year, Dubai's Virtual Asset Regulatory Authority (VARA) reported on its new Headquartered in the decentralized metaverse The Sandbox, based on the Ethereum blockchain. The regulatory agency was the first in the country to enter the virtual world and did so to promote international cooperation between the different regulators. This in order to promote regulation and the healthy development of the crypto industry. 

Also, at the end of June, the crown prince of the Emirati city, Hamdan bin Mohammed, presented a new strategy focused on accelerate the development of the Metaverse over the next 5 years. This strategy, which aims to create 40.000 new jobs and generate $4.000 billion, seeks to make the city a leader in this technological innovation.
