VeChain and EasyA host hackathon to accelerate blockchain and Web3 adoption

VeChain and EasyA join forces to accelerate blockchain and Web3 adoption

Enterprise blockchain VeChain has partnered with Web3 developer community EasyA to host an event focused on the mainstream adoption of blockchain technology.

The Harvard Hackathon VeChain x EasyA, an event organized by VeChain and EasyA in collaboration with Harvard University, is designed to bring together some of the brightest minds in the blockchain ecosystem to build new applications and solutions that foster the use and adoption of blockchain and Web3 technology.

Developers interested in participating in this hackathon have until October 6 to complete registration on the EasyA application. The hackathon will take place between October 7 and 8 at the Harvard University Science and Engineering Complex.

To participate, developers must submit a project description, link their GitHub repositories, and host a presentation about the project.

The hackathon offers a competitive environment that is ideal for stimulating the development of new projects on VeChain as well as the construction of ecosystems focused on sustainability.

More than 9.000 developers on VeChain

As part of the partnership with EasyA, VeChain has also organized a Learn-2-Earn campaign to encourage the use of its blockchain technology.

Although VeChain expected a significant influx of blockchain developers and builders, it noted that currently more than 9.150 developers are part of the campaign, which has been considered a great success.

From this campaign, VeChain will select the top 200 developers to participate in The Harvard Hackathon VeChain x EasyA. Together with the rest of the participants, this group of developers will compete for the $30.000 prize and the possibility of raising funds from important fund managers, such as Andreessen Horowitz, to finance their projects.

This week, VeChain also announced a partnership with Reflexivity to conduct research focused on the upgrades and development of its blockchain ecosystem and its focus on sustainability and business innovation.

Vechain and SingularityNET

Another of VeChain’s most notable collaborations this year is with SingularityNET, a decentralized network powered by Artificial Intelligence. VeChain and SingularityNET are bringing blockchain technology and Artificial Intelligence together to build new business solutions and drive sustainability in the technology sector.

Both projects are focusing on using emerging technologies to develop new applications and tools that enable the construction of more interconnected smart ecosystems focused on sustainability.

According to VeChain, the collaboration with SingularityNET will lead to the development of more innovative and intelligent services for the field of enterprise applications, while unlocking powerful capabilities for businesses and projects that make use of these new technologies.

VeChain believes that blockchain and AI are the foundation of the economy of the future and that both technologies combined can help provide efficient solutions to problems that have not been able to be solved with traditional tools.

Combining the potential of Blockchain and Artificial Intelligence

In a blog post shared by VeChain, the project’s developers explained that both companies will combine their respective strengths in blockchain and AI to create applications that improve the efficiency, transparency, and security of business operations and help accelerate the transition to a green economy.

Through the VechainThor blockchain, VeChain will ensure the most robust data flows to create an optimal environment for enterprise AI solutions, while SingularityNet will handle data validation.

According to the VeChain team, adding AI as an additional verification layer to the blockchain “creates a powerful synergy that dramatically enhances the individual capabilities of each respective technology.”

As part of this partnership, SingularityNet will launch smart contracts on VechainThor.

Despite bearish crypto market conditions, VeChain has continued to build with a focus on innovation.

To date, this blockchain network has been adopted by several of the world's largest companies, such as courier and delivery services company DHL and e-commerce company Walmart, to streamline their supply chain management.
