The San Juan de Dios Hospital in Zaragoza will be the First medical center in Spain to offer health services in the metaverse, thanks to the development of an interactive virtual medical center. 

The medical entity has partnered with the Aragonese company Imascone, a studio specializing in creative technologies and the development of Augmented and Virtual Reality projects, which has transformed some of the hospital's rooms and spaces into an interactive virtual space.

The virtual hospital follows the initiative of the San Juan de Dios Hospital in Zaragoza to become a “paperless” center, thus joining other developments such as the biometric signature, electronic prescription and the implementation of digital solutions for the treatment of certain ailments, such as the use of Kinect, robotic arms or virtual reality for neurorehabilitation therapies.
