Tsubasa launches NFTs based on the hit anime “Supercampeones”

The hit Japanese anime “Champions: Oliver & Benji,” also known as “Supercampeones,” is now an NFT collection based on the Ethereum blockchain.

The “Supercampeones” non-fungible token collection, titled “The ball is our friend”, is available for pre-sale starting this Thursday, March 2, reported the Tsubasa company, which has collaborated with the blockchain startup Double Jump Tokyo to make the project possible. 

The “Superchampions” NFTs present Exclusive designs with the most popular characters from the series anime. Each of these non-fungible tokens has a pre-sale starting price of 0,08 ETH, or approximately $132 USD, based on the price of ether at the time of writing this article. The public sale will take place until March 15 and the NFTs will be available on the company’s website. 

Tsubasa's goal with the launch of this NFT collection is to unite all people in a common and widely known sport such as football. With slogans such as “A ball makes friends of everyone”, Tsubasa wants to contribute to world peace. 

Tsubasa will distribute footballs in 12 countries through NFTs

Through its NFT collection, the Japanese company plans handing out real footballs to children in 12 countries The footballs will be handmade by the company Sfida and will feature exclusive illustrations by Yoichi Takahashi, the author of the manga “Supercampeones”. The footballs will be donated by the international NGO World Vision Japan.  

Furthermore, NFT holders of this digital collection also have the possibility of receiving one of these physical balls, the company reported. 

Double Jump Tokyo, which collaborated with Tsubasa, announced on its Twitter account that Japanese professional footballer Shinji Kagawa, considered one of the best in the world, has joined the NFT project as an ambassador. 

“Supercampeones” is one of the most successful manga and anime series in the world, with more than 80 million copies sold.

Brands continue to enter the world of NFTs 

In addition to the exclusive “Supercampeones” designs and the possibility of receiving a real soccer ball, the NFTs of the crypto collection launched by Tsubasa can be converted into “SoulBound” tokens, which will allow their holders to receive special commercial offers and original marketing products, in addition to accessing projects that the company is preparing for the future. 

In this way, Tsubasa is using non-fungible tokens as a means to increase the utility it offers to Japanese anime fans. 

On the other hand, the company also wants these NFTs Support the growth of the Nankatsu SC football team, originally from Katsushika City, Tokyo, who is represented by Takahashi.

Recently, the DappRadar platform published a study on The true interests of NFT users, which notes that traders and investors in these digital assets are looking for real benefits, such as utility and access to exclusive products and services. 

DappRadar’s report also notes that despite the bear market that overwhelmed cryptocurrencies in 2022, the NFT market remained fairly stable.
