The Open Network (TON), Telegram's Layer 1 blockchain, is consolidating its position in the crypto ecosystem through important developments and strategic partnerships.
According to data revealed by the Artemis platform, daily active addresses on the TON network experienced an impressive year-on-year increase of 5.360%, reaching 458.000 daily active addresses on July 16.
This massive increase in active addresses on the network is a strong indicator of the growing adoption and usage of the TON ecosystem.
The platform shows that the number of daily active TON addresses has increased from around 7.200 addresses on July 22 last year to over 458.000 active addresses on July 16. However, at the time of writing, the platform reflects a substantial decrease in the number of daily active addresses on the network, which is around 300.000 according to current data.

El Toncoin price, the native cryptocurrency of The Open Network, has also evolved over the past year, reflecting a year-on-year growth of 47%.
Telegram community drives TON growth and adoption
A key factor behind the impressive growth that the TON network has experienced over the past year is the tight integration with the instant messaging platform Telegram.
Currently, more than half of the projects running in the TON ecosystem function as bots on Telegram, taking advantage of the platform’s user base of over 900 million worldwide. According to experts, this synergy between TON and Telegram is driving blockchain adoption among a wider audience.
In addition to the support of the Telegram community, TON network developers have also focused on building a diverse and engaging app ecosystem for users. Recently, Telegram CEO Pavel Durov highlighted that his messaging platform will soon introduce a TON-based app store, as well as a web browser with support for Web3, which will help further expand the adoption of the blockchain ecosystem by its global user community.
From his channel, Durov wrote that:
“2024 will go down in history as the year when hundreds of millions of people became familiar with blockchain. We are proud that Telegram is at the epicenter of this social transformation.”
The TON ecosystem currently has over 200 projects in different areas of interest ranging from play-to-earn (P2E) games and investments to analytics. All these developments once again demonstrate the broad appeal of the TON network for both developers and users.
Mocaverse partners with TON Network
Recently, the TON Foundation announced a strategic partnership with Mocaverse, Animoca Brands’ NFT collection, and the MOCA Foundation.
According to release Released by TON, this strategic partnership includes the creation of a $20 million reserve in MOCA Coin and Toncoin that will serve to incentivize the adoption of the TON ecosystem by developers and users.
