The well-known cryptocurrency project The Open Network (TON) seeks to show the world that it is the fastest and most technologically advanced network in the entire crypto ecosystem.
The developers of The Open Network (TON) have scheduled a performance test of the public network, which has been scheduled for October 31, 2023 at 15:00 UTC. With this test, the TON developers seek to demonstrate the reliability, scalability and speed of The Open Network (TON) blockchain, especially to verify that it is the fastest in the world.
To this end, the TON Foundation will collaborate with Alibaba Cloud, among other hosting and server providers, to configure 256 servers for validation nodes and start a separate TON blockchain network for performance testing. Let us remember that since 2022, the TON blockchain has experienced exponential growth. A growth that has seen a staggering 20-fold increase in the number of addresses, skyrocketing from 170.000 to a remarkable 3,5 million.
Likewise, the growth of the TON user base has been accompanied by the expansion of TON validator nodes to 350, creating a more decentralized network, which is now distributed in 25 different countries. Throughout this rapid expansion, the TON blockchain has maintained a remarkably reliable track record, with no major documented network outages.
The Open Network evolves and grows with its community
The recent collaboration between the TON Foundation and Telegram, announced on September 13, 2023, underscores the TON Foundation's commitment to bringing decentralized technology to the mainstream. This upcoming performance test is a critical step in demonstrating the unique capabilities of the TON blockchain, now established as the trusted infrastructure layer for the Web 3.0 ecosystem on Telegram.
In light of these events, Anatoly Makosov, central development leader of the TON Foundation, stated the following:
We look forward to October 31, 2023 to confirm that the TON blockchain stands out technically among any other blockchain, especially in its ability to scale. This is the first large-scale public performance test of TON; We are as excited as you are to see the results.
From the official TON account, they declare the following:
A live event
The atmosphere in the TON community is festive and in fact, the developers and community have made it clear that they seek to share the achievements achieved in this test with everyone. For that reason, TON developers have prepared the website Live TON, in which you can closely follow the test that will take place on October 31.
Under the name TON Lunar Expedition, the website seeks to be a space where the community can watch this event from anywhere in the world and witness how the TON network becomes the fastest blockchain network in the world. All this is linked to the development of TON with such interesting options as the integration of the wallet in the Telegram application.
Recall that The Open Network (TON), originally developed by Telegram, has shown remarkable resilience, increasing by 52% last year, defying the downward trend that affected numerous crypto projects during the current crypto winter. All of this has been driven by the enormous possibilities of TON. Possibilities covering TON Blockchain and DNS, storage and decentralized sites functionalities. Along with an enormous ability to scale and offer ultra-fast transactions, low fees and easy-to-use applications.
With all this, the completion of this test is certainly an event that will unite the entire TON community, and that will leave an important mark in the crypto ecosystem.
