Strategy accumulates more than 640.000 BTC and two new companies join the Bitcoin fever

Strategy already has more than 640.000 BTC in its crypto reserve, while startups in Brazil and the United Kingdom are adopting the institutional model to strengthen their Bitcoin treasuries.

Institutional accumulation of Bitcoin continues to gain traction globally. Recently, Strategy, the American company led by Michael Saylor, has increased its Bitcoin reserve to exceed 640.000 BTC, and consolidate itself as the largest corporate accumulator of this cryptocurrency.

At the same time, new companies in Latin America and Europe are adopting similar strategies, joining this trend with models tailored to their local markets and strategic objectives.

In Brazil, the young company OrangeBTC has emerged as the main Bitcoin accumulator in the region, while in the United Kingdom, B HODL is moving forward with a proposal that combines accumulation and income generation with BTC. This move reflects a global trend toward integrating Bitcoin not only as an investment asset, but also as a key component in corporate treasury management.

Strategy: The benchmark in institutional Bitcoin accumulation

Strategy has continued its policy of systematic and disciplined accumulation, recently purchasing 196 bitcoins for a value of nearly $22,1 million, at an average price of approximately $113.048 per BTC. This acquisition increased its total reserve at 640.031 BTC, with an aggregate investment estimated at around $47.350 billion and an average purchase price of around $73.983 per Bitcoin.

Saylor's investment approach keeps the motto alive “Always Add”, which reflects a clear strategy: to constantly buy Bitcoin, even in the face of uncertain or volatile market conditions. For Strategy, the accumulation policy has become an almost artistic form of treasury management, where the digital asset is the fundamental pillar for safeguarding and increasing corporate value over the long term.

Strategy's trajectory since August 2020 demonstrates how a company can turn massive Bitcoin holdings into a core strategic asset. The gradual and thoughtful accumulation of this cryptocurrency has positioned the company not only as a leader in the crypto industry, but also as a benchmark for companies seeking to integrate Bitcoin into their balance sheets as a hedge against inflation and as a store of value.

OranjeBTC and B HODL: New Players Mimicking the Bitcoin Standard

In Latin America, the institutional Bitcoin accumulation strategy, promoted by Strategy, already has concrete imitators, but with specific characteristics and objectives adapted to the region.

OrangeBTC, a Brazilian company founded in 2025, has announced the purchase of 3.650 bitcoins worth approximately $385 million, making it the firm with the largest treasury reserves of BTC in Latin America. This volume far exceeds the holdings of other regional companies, such as Méliuz, which owns just over 600 bitcoins, according to data consulted by Bitcoin Treasuries.

OranjeBTC's initiative reflects an interest in establishing itself not only as a major Bitcoin accumulator, but also as a "Bitcoin Treasury Company" with an educational focus aimed at promoting adoption and confidence in the corporate use of the digital asset in Brazil and the continent. The company has concrete plans to enter the Brazilian stock market through a reverse merger with an educational company already listed on the B3 exchange, which will expand access to institutional and retail investors interested in Bitcoin.

Guilherme Gomes, founder of OranjeBTC and former partner at Bridgewater Associates, explained that the company's mission is to offer a reliable and professional institutional alternative for Latin American investors. The strategy is based on discipline, transparency, and a long-term vision to build a robust treasury that reflects Bitcoin's potential as a strategic asset in a regional context that is still in the growth and institutionalization phase of the crypto asset.

On the other side of the Atlantic, B HODL, the first British company created specifically for the institutional accumulation of Bitcoin and the generation of income derived from its use, reported a recent purchase of 12 BTC at an average price of $111.627 per bitcoin, bringing its total reserves to 112 BTC. This company's model differs in that, in addition to accumulating the cryptocurrency, it uses its holdings to operate on the Lightning Network, a Layer 2 technology solution that enables fast and cost-effective BTC transactions.

B HODL seeks to position itself as a leader in the UK in Bitcoin treasury building, combining the accumulation of a scarce asset with innovation in financial infrastructure based on the cryptocurrency network. The company deploys a hybrid model, where the Bitcoin reserve becomes a potential source of income, in addition to serving as a secure and strategic asset within its portfolio.

Both companies, OranjeBTC and B HODL, demonstrate how Strategy's model adapts to different corporate contexts and needs, demonstrating Bitcoin's flexibility as a financial tool in both emerging and developed markets.

The consolidation of the institutional model for Bitcoin in the world

Strategy's massive accumulation of Bitcoin has set a clear example that transcends borders and economies. The growing adoption of institutional trust management models that integrate BTC into their treasuries demonstrates how far this cryptocurrency has come, and is now considered a globally accepted strategic asset.

In Latin America, OranjeBTC's foray shows that the region is taking an active role in this evolution, with companies capable of replicating and adapting international models to meet the specific needs of their markets. Similarly, in Europe, B HODL reaffirms the importance of thinking of Bitcoin not only as a store of value, but also as a platform for financial innovation through technologies like the Lightning Network.

The sum of these practices constitutes a panorama in which Bitcoin is beginning to become an integral part of corporate and institutional management in different latitudes.

Beyond its historical volatility, its scarcity and growing acceptance give it a central role within the financial strategy of forward-looking companies. This global phenomenon underscores the transformation of the traditional financial ecosystem, where Bitcoin is increasingly positioned as a fundamental asset for preserving and increasing corporate value in a digital world.
