Web3 STEPN app integrates Apple Music

Web3 app STEPN will integrate Apple Music

STEPN and Apple have announced a collaboration to integrate Apple Music streaming music services into the Web3 lifestyle app.

STEPN, the Web3 app based on the Move to Earn model, is collaborating with Apple to bring the Apple Music service to all Web3 app users.

STEPN developers stressed that this historic collaboration is part of their ongoing efforts to improve the app by integrating new features and tools to provide users with a more engaging and complete experience.

Yawn Rong and Jerry Huang, co-founders of Find Satoshi Lab, the company that develops STEPN and other Web3 products, highlighted the importance of the collaboration between STEPN and Apple in marking the intersection between Web2 and Web3. “They don’t just coexist, they thrive together,” Huang said of the future of the traditional web and the blockchain-based decentralized web.

Apple services supported by STEPN

Thanks to the collaboration between STEPN and Apple, Web3 app users will be able to access Apple Music directly from the platform, eliminating the need to use an external app to play music.

STEPN stressed that users will be able to play both their favourite music tracks and entire community-created playlists directly from the Web3 app, and that the Apple Music service is available for both iOS and Android devices. “You can use Apple Music on your Android device by downloading the app from the Play Store,” the project stated. However, STEPN clarifies that users must have an active Apple Music account to access the service.

The goal of integrating Apple Music into STEPN is to enable app users to listen to their favorite music during workout sessions. Recall that STEPN is a Web3 lifestyle app where users can monetize their fitness activity through NFT tokens.

At the end of May, STEPN announced the Apple Pay Addition to provide users with a more familiar payment method for those users who are not native to cryptocurrencies and Web3.

Through Apple Pay, app users have the ability to purchase NFT sneakers, which are required to use STEPN, without having to own crypto assets, expanding entry to a larger number of users.
