Interest in cryptocurrencies and stablecoins is growing on one of the most popular streaming platforms in the world, Spotify begins the hiring process for its cryptocurrency payments strategy.
In a Spanish President Pedro Sánchez’s announcement In a recently published job posting, the streaming company for music playback Spotify, says it needs an Associate Director to join its Payments Strategy and Innovation team, with the aim of developing a viable strategy for the company to adopt payments with cryptocurrencies, and digital assets, in addition to stablecoins as the project diem from Facebook, formerly known as Pound.
The company said the new Associate Director will play a key role in defining and implementing Spotify’s payments strategy, as well as leading the platform’s activity within Facebook’s digital currency project and the broader universe of digital assets and cryptocurrencies.
The vacant position will report to the Payments Strategy and Innovation Team, which is responsible for designing the platform's payments strategy, focusing on its growth and development to continue meeting the needs of users throughout its ecosystem.
Spotify is the world's largest Swedish-American audio streaming subscription service, with More than 300 million registered and active users by the end of October this year.

Global Trends in Cryptocurrencies and Digital Assets
Interest in cryptocurrencies and new technologies is a trend that is gaining greater strength today, so the person who holds the position of Associate Director in Spotify's Payment Strategy and Innovation Team will also have the role of evaluating and analyzing global behavior and trends in cryptocurrencies and digital assets in the markets for their future implementation.

This Associate Director will also be the company's representative to the Libra Association, of which Spotify is a founding member along with other companies.
