SoftBank becomes validator of the Oasys blockchain

📍‌Japan-based multinational conglomerate SoftBank has joined the Oasys blockchain as a validator. Oasys is a blockchain optimized for gaming, focused on intellectual property. 

The collaboration between SoftBank and Oasys seeks to explore the integration of blockchain and Web3 technologies into society, as well as to analyze the possible launch of new blockchain-based financial services. As a validator, SoftBank will be responsible for collaborating in the verification process and generation of new blocks on the network. 

Hong Kong issues $100 million bond on Goldman Sachs' private platform

📍‌This is the first tokenized green bond issued by a government, the Hong Kong Monetary Authority said. HKMA has used Goldman Sachs’ private blockchain-based tokenization platform to issue a tokenized green bond denominated in HKD, the Hong Kong dollar. 

In a releaseThe monetary authority of the special administrative region of China stressed that the issuance of this bond demonstrates that the legal and regulatory environment in Hong Kong is flexible and conducive to new innovative forms of bond issuance.

Hong Kong Financial Secretary Paul Chan said the region has been actively promoting the application of innovative technologies such as blockchain in the financial sector, and is exploring how these new concepts and technologies can help local government improve the efficiency, transparency and security of financial transactions.

Square Enix selects Polygon for Symbiogenesis launch

The Japanese video game company has announced that its upcoming Symbiogenesis project will launch on the Polygon Network. In a statement, Square Enix acknowledged Polygon's environmental sustainability, which reached carbon neutrality in June last year, as its main attraction to develop its first Web3 experience and meet the demands of its gaming community, who were concerned about the energy consumption of blockchain networks. 

Symbiogenesis is the first Web3 project from Square Enix, developer of video games such as Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest. This first Web3 project is focused on offering interactive digital collectibles to fans of blockchain and the decentralized internet. 

Tezos joins Rarible's NFT marketplace aggregator

The company is expanding its collaboration with the Opera browser to make it easier for users to create and access Web3 sites powered by Unstoppable on the Polygon network. The new domain names included, “.nft,” “.wallet,” and “.x,” will help Opera’s millions of users around the world explore the power of digital identity and the decentralized web, the company explained. 

Unstoppable Domains has also partnered with the NFT.com platform, which has just launched its beta version, to make it easier for users to buy and sell Web3 domains and digital identities through this platform.
