Metal band Slipknot announced via their Twitter account a partnership with The Sandbox to create the Knotverse, an immersive space where fans will enjoy live concerts and gaming experiences.
The music industry has found in NFTs and the metaverse a space in which to expand, creating a new business model that is fairer for the artist. Creators like Snoop Dogg, Ariana Grande or Justin Bieber They have already found their space in Web 3, launching NFT collections, doing concerts in the metaverse or creating their own virtual spaces.
In this sense, the alternative metal band Slipknot has announced on its Twitter account its alliance with The Sandbox to create the knotverse, a virtual space for fans of the band and heavy metal in general.

The Knotverse, a space for heavy metal lovers
Slipknot's virtual space in the metaverse is designed to offer unique experiences to their fans. As they point out on their official website, The Knotverse will offer a series of immersive experiences which will range from unique NFT collections, which will have a special use within the metaverse, to concerts, festivals and activities for users.
The Knotverse will also serve as a cultural space where Knot Fest, a heavy music festival, will take place which the band has been organizing since 2012. Not only Slipknot is taking part in the festival, but other bands such as Deftones, Lamb of God, In Flames and Cypress Hill have also been present.
Knotfest offers a unique experience to fans of the American band. With a dark carnival theme, the venue usually features a series of circus tents, fireworks and dark-themed rides.
Holders will have access to a range of rewards ranging from airdrops, VIP experiences at festivals, exclusive tickets and also unique merchandise.
On the other hand, as the band's metaverse fills up with people, Slipknot plans to offer the community the chance to vote and decide where the Knotverse goes, as well as events that must occur in the future.
Slipknot the first metal band in the metaverse
Although several artists have already joined the metaverse, Slipknot is the first heavy metal band to enter The Sandbox.
In this way, all NFTs created within Slipknot's Knotverse can be used in any other space in The Sandbox, as well as in Other platforms such as OpenSea, so users will have full control of their tokens.

The band will release their first NFT collection, called “My Legacy, The Clown CollectionThe collection will go on sale on OpenSea starting April 22 and will be the first of many collections.
