Send and receive crypto on Brave Wallet using Unstoppable Web3 domains on Polygon

Brave Wallet Unstoppable Web3 Domains on Polygon

Brave Wallet allows you to send and receive cryptocurrency transactions using Unstoppable's decentralized domains minted on Polygon.

Open-source web browser Brave has informed its 60 million users that they can now send and receive cryptocurrency using Unstoppable Domains, minted on the Polygon Network, from their Brave Wallet.

Users of the Web3-ready browser can use the “.x”, “.nft”, “.dao”, “.wallet”, “.crypto”, “.bitcoin” and “.blockchain” domains as recipients when sending cryptocurrencies and tokens.

This new feature provides both web browser and Unstoppable users with a new way to leverage their Web3 domain names. Additionally, the integration of Unstoppable’s decentralized domains minted on Polygon into Brave Wallet simplifies the use of the digital wallet, as well as the trading and receiving of crypto assets, by allowing users to use human-readable digital identities.

Simplifying the use and accessibility of cryptocurrencies

Brave developers noted that the browser's cryptocurrency wallet now checks the blockchain for Unstoppable Domains domain names assigned to a wallet address, automatically populating them for an optimized user experience.

Sandy Carter, SVP and Channel Chief at Unstoppable Domains, highlighted that Web3 is the future. Carter said in a release that by expanding access to the decentralized web, as it is currently doing alongside Brave, its platform is offering users new ways to build their online identity.

Last September, Brave announced that it was integrating Unstoppable Domains natively into the web browser to make it easier for users to create and navigate decentralized websites. Since both platforms announced a collaboration, they have been constantly working on developing new solutions focused on boosting utility for the crypto community, whether in the DeFi ecosystem or digital identity.

Unstoppable Domains and Brave

Unstoppable Domains is one of the most important decentralized domain protocols in the crypto industry. Currently, this protocol registers More than 2,9 million Web3 domains created to date. Unstoppable Domain allows users to use their decentralized domain names with over 275 cryptocurrencies and tokens, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, and more.

Web3 domains make it easy for users to connect their cryptocurrency wallets, even if they are for different assets and blockchains, under one name, for ease of use.

Brave, for its part, is a web browser designed to natively integrate security, privacy, decentralization and monetization.

Likewise, Brave's native cryptocurrency wallet, which was launched in November this year, gives its users access to decentralized applications in the blockchain and Web3 ecosystem, as well as the ability to store and manage their crypto assets from one place, allowing more people to begin their journey towards Web3 in a simpler and more secure way.
