Secret Network’s partnership with Axelar will enable users to enjoy cross-blockchain interoperability capabilities.

Secret Network has announced a partnership with Axelar Network, a gateway permissionless which allows for the creation of secure applications across the chain, for develop private messaging projects and transfer of NFTs between different blockchains.

With the partnership, Secret Network will also gain access to Axelar's cross-blockchain operability ecosystem, so any decentralized application built on the protocol, will have access to cross-chain interoperability features. Axelar currently offers interoperability with Avalanche, Polygon, Moonbeam, Fantom, Ethereum and other IBC blockchains, allowing Secret to greatly expand its reach and capabilities.

For Sergey Gorbunov, one of the founders of axelar, the steady growth and escalation of the industry has highlighted the constraints caused by the lack of blockchain privatization.

Secret Network Secret has gained popularity thanks to all the privacy options it has, which has led to many more projects opting for this protocol. Among the most common use cases in Secret we can find the private trading of NFTs or Decentralized Finance (DeFi). Thus, the new partnership with Axelar will offer a host of new options for blockchain users.

On the other hand, Secret will allow applications that run on Axelar send private messages across isolated blockchain networks. Which will offer new use cases such as private voting in DAOs or front-running resistant exchanges.

The partnership will also offer complete privacy for any activity such as Ethereum trading, so decentralized applications will be able to send Ether from an Ethereum wallet to Secret via Axelar or use Secret’s automated market maker to exchange ETH for WBTC.

One of the main features of Axelar is that will allow you to perform all these actions with a single click, without the need for any prior management. This opens up many possibilities for creating new use cases, such as chain lending without sharing settlement levels.

At the same time, the partnership will also expose Secret users to new tokens such as MATIC, DOT or AVAX.
