Shiba Inu founder Ryoshi has followed in Satoshi Nakamoto's footsteps and deleted all of his social media posts.
Ryoshi, the fictitious name by which the founder of Shiba Inu is known, has abandoned the project development community, having deleted all of his tweets and a Medium blog post. This comes exactly one year after Ryoshi's last Twitter post, which was dated May 29, 2021.
Since Shiba Inu was released in August 2021, the identity of its creator had been kept secret. Similar to Bitcoin, the developer was only known by the pseudonym: Ryoshi. In fact, his Twitter account indicated that Ryoshi was “decentralized.”
On the other hand, the mysterious creator of Shiba Inu He had announced his intention to leave the project on several occasions, downplaying his role in the development of the ecosystem. In the now-deleted Medium post, Ryoshi explained that:
“I’ve said it from the beginning, I’m nobody, I’m not important. Efforts to uncover my identity, even if successful, would be disappointing. I’m just an unimportant guy who taps a keyboard and I’m replaceable. I’m Ryoshi.”
Is anyone trying to replace Ryoshi?
Ryoshi's Twitter account is still active, although all previous activity has been deleted and on Medium there are only two articles left in which he says goodbye to the ShibArmy (the Shiba Inu user community). In this sense, some members of the community believe that, in reality, these Medium posts are not from Ryoshi, but from a scammer who seeks to take advantage of the situation.
This idea is plausible, as the account and profile photo do not match Ryoshi's. In fact, Ryoshi's original Medium page displays a message stating that the user does not exist.
In this context, Shytoshi Kusama, one of the project's main developers, published a blog entry on Tuesday in which he said goodbye to Ryoshi and showed his commitment to the future of the ecosystem and to the vision of the project's founder.
In the post, Shytoshi points out that Ryoshi He always wanted to remain anonymous and have no role in the development or direction of the project.
On the other hand, in the past many users pointed out that Vitalik Buterin himself, founder of Ethereum, was the person hidden behind Ryoshi's identity. However, Buterin himself Buterin denied these rumors in a podcast with Lex Fridman on June 5, 2021 and completely disassociated himself from Shiba Inu development.
