Ronin completes full migration to CCIP protocol
This migration to Chainlink CCIP is not a random process, but rather the result of a decision made after careful analysis and voting by Ronin Network validators. Proposed in 2024 and implemented in the first quarter of 2025, the transition was carried out in multiple phases, beginning with the coexistence of both systems and culminating at the end of this month, when the legacy Ronin Bridge was completely deactivated.

Security in asset transfers, a critical issue for blockchain bridges, has been the main driver of this migration. The recent history of crypto bridges with exploited vulnerabilities and bugs has put all industry players on alert. For example, if a user performs a token transaction during an anomalous network spike, the system can adjust execution to ensure the transfer is not lost or stuck, reducing risks and improving the transfer experience.
