People has published a new list focused on the most supportive companies that are contributing to building a better world in 2023.
Ripple has been included in the position N º 82 People's list as one of the 100 companies that have had the most positive impact on the world this year.
According to People, the blockchain infrastructure company that develops XRP has strived to “honor its customers, empower its employees, and make the world a better place.”
The American weekly publication highlighted that through the Ripple Impact social program The blockchain company has shown respect and concern for its employees and communities. Ripple Impact was created by Ripple in 2018 in order to drive positive change in the world, both for people and the planet.
Regarding the social program, People noted that “ripplers,” a term referring to Ripple community members, have contributed to various charitable causes and non-profit organizations at will. “In 2021, Ripple saw its most generous year of employee donations, nearly all of it matched by Ripple,” the publication stated, highlighting that the blockchain company’s employees have also helped discover new organizations that align with its values.
From its account on social network X, Ripple thanked its employees for their efforts to give back through its Ripple Impact program.
Through the Ripple Impact program, the company has been boosting its commitment to sustainability, financial inclusion and people empowerment.
To date, Ripple Impact has donated over $170 million. Of this, $100 million has been committed to various causes focused on modernizing and expanding global carbon markets and the remainder to blockchain education, research, and scholarship programs.
Ripple has 50 global university partners and reports that approximately 78% of its employees participate in donation and volunteer programs.
