Ralph Lauren integrates payments with Bitcoin
📍Ralph Lauren fashion brand users can pay with Bitcoin at the store in Miami. Ralph Lauren, one of America's most iconic luxury fashion brands, is integrating Bitcoin into its payment methods.
From its new store in Miami, located in the Miami Design District, users and consumers of the brand can pay for their favorite clothes and accessories using cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin.
This is the first Ralph Lauren store to enable crypto payments, after announcing a strategic partnership with Web3 Poolsuite and Bitpay. In addition to Bitcoin (BTC), Ralph Lauren is also accepting payments with Ethereum (ETH) and Polygon (MATIC).
Ralph Lauren is also entering the world of NFT tokens to offer exclusivity to its customers and users. The American brand will give away non-fungible tokens to the 3.000 members of the Poolsuite community. The NFTs will serve as membership passes to a launch event and private party taking place in the city later this month.
During a interview Speaking to Women's Wear Daily (WWD), Ralph Lauren's Chief Brand and Innovation Officer David Lauren highlighted that the brand is seeing huge opportunities in digital assets and virtual goods and experiences, so with the integration of crypto payments and the launch of this series of NFTs, Ralph Lauren is taking important steps to “gather key insights as we continue to explore the (crypto) space.”
MetaMask Updates for NFTs
📍The cryptocurrency extension wallet has been updated to integrate NFTs. MetaMask developers have announced the release of a new version, v10.28, which integrates several functionalities related to NFT tokens.
One of these new features is the ability to send ERC-721 tokens. The cryptocurrency wallet developers also reported that all tokens in Ethereum’s ERC-721 and ERC-1155 standards should appear as long as the automatic NFT detection feature is enabled.
MetaMask also said it will enable the functionality of sending ERC-1155 tokens very soon.
