
Luxury fashion brand Prada plans to give away NFTs to its consumers at the launch of its next “Cassius Hirst” collection Timecapsule.”
A $36.000 billion market, NFTs continue to attract fashion companies, artists, designers and creators around the world.
The latest to announce its entry into the world of NFTs is Prada, an Italian luxury fashion brand that has revealed its plans to launch its own non-fungible tokens on the blockchain.
Although this is not the fashion brand's first foray into the world of blockchain and NFTs, this time it has reported that it will launch its own digital collectibles, to continue getting closer to new technologies and the decentralized web, known as Web3.
Prada will use the Ethereum blockchain to create an exclusive collection of 100 NFTs, which will be launched on June 2 along with its new “Cassius Hirst Timecapsule” collection.
Through Twitter, Prada reported that the NFTs from the “Timecapsule NFT” collection will be given to its consumers, who will have the opportunity to be the first owners of the brand's digital collectibles.
In addition to the NFTs, Prada will also launch its own server on the Discord instant messaging service. As reported, this will be called “Prada Crypted” and will serve as a meeting point for its community.

The last time this luxury fashion brand ventured into the world of blockchain and NFTs was in January of this year, when it collaborated with sports fashion brand Adidas on “Adidas: Prada, Re-Source.” It was a collaborative art project to create a unique work of art from 3.000 NFTs made by 3.000 artists from around the world.
The collaboration involved New York artist Zach Lieberman, who joined all the NFT artworks to create a unique and exclusive digital piece.

Prada's “Cassius Hirst Timecapsule” collection is the product of its most recent collaboration with the artist Cassius Hirst, one of the favorites of Generation Z. Cassius Hirst is the son of the well-known English artist Damien Hirst, who launched his first NFTs in the middle of the last year.

However, “Cassius Hirst Timecapsule” is made up of 100 black and white t-shirts, with unique creations made by the artist. Buyers of these t-shirts will receive a free NFT of a GIF that will reference a serial number corresponding to the brand's launch. In addition, the NFTs will include a number associated with each of the physical t-shirts, which provides exclusivity to the garments.
In addition to the buyers of the new t-shirt collection, consumers of the exclusive Timecapsule products that the brand has launched since 2019 will also receive a free NFT in a second phase, the company reported.
El Aura Blockchain Consortium, made up of several luxury brands such as Mercedes Benz, Cartier, LVMH Group, OTB Group and Prada, is behind the launch of the brand's NFTs. This consortium was created to help luxury brands invest in new technologies and strengthen their personal relationship with their customers through secure digital experiences based on blockchain.
