Phantom developers have clarified that they have no plans to launch a native token or conduct any airdrops. Rather, they are prioritizing the development of social features and improvements to their cryptocurrency wallet to optimize the user experience. 

Phantom, one of the most popular non-custodial crypto wallets in the industry, is debunking speculation about a possible airdrop related to its upcoming social discovery feature. 

The team behind the wallet shared a post on X in which they made it clear that they have no plans to launch a native token or perform an airdrop. 

“We have seen some speculation about an airdrop related to this feature, so to clarify: we have no plans to launch a token.”, the project stated. 

With this statement, Phantom wants to put an end to speculation about a native token, and reinforce that it is committed to innovation and continuous improvement of its project. Thus, instead of focusing on the creation of a token, Phantom is dedicating its resources to the development of new social functions designed to simplify the user experience when interacting with Web3.
