The UK Mint will mint its own NFT later this summer as part of its plan to integrate cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology.
As part of the Cryptocurrency and blockchain integration plans, Rishi Sunak, Chancellor of the Exchequer of the United Kingdom, has announced that the Royal Mint will register its own NFT sometime next summer. Although the Chancellor has not given further details of the project, the economic secretary of the Chancellery, John Glen, has stated that this NFT will have an innovative approach.

How will the UK integrate cryptocurrencies into law?
Among the regulations that the London government is studying, it will include not only the regulation of cryptocurrencies as a payment method, but also the stable coins and the start of a study plan on the feasibility of creating a digital pound.
In addition, the British authorities also want the Law Commission to consider granting legal status to the decentralized autonomous organizations (DAO).

Separately, the Financial Conduct Authority will host a two-day “CryptoSprint” with industry experts in May, gathering views from industry experts on key issues related to the development of a future crypto-asset regime.
Stablecoins in the UK's plans
The British government intends to create special legislation so that stablecoins, when used as a means of payment, fall within the payment regulation, creating the conditions for stablecoin issuers and service providers to operate and invest in the United Kingdom.
