MicroBT presents its latest gem in efficient Bitcoin mining

MicroBT has introduced its new WhatsMiner M6XS+ series, which promises more sustainable and efficient Bitcoin mining.

The company, which is one of the leaders in innovation within the Bitcoin mining industry, presented its new and innovative mining equipment during the Bitcoin 2024 conference, which is being held in Nashville, Tennessee (United States).

This new series of Bitcoin mining equipment includes a novel model with air, water and immersion cooling, which represents a significant advance in achieving this activity with greater energy efficiency and lower environmental impact.

MicroBT's new sustainable Bitcoin mining technology

MicroBT Founder and CEO Dr. Zuoxing Yang highlighted the company’s technological advancements and its commitment to sustainable and efficient mining practices in the Bitcoin and cryptocurrency industry.

During his speech at the conference, Dr. Yang emphasized the progress made by MicroBT in the crypto mining sector, highlighting that the future of this industry lies in the use and adoption of renewable energy sources. Currently, the company is exploring solar energy in Bitcoin mining, making significant progress in this area. According to his statements, MicroBT will soon launch a WhatsMiner solar-powered container system for Bitcoin.

Dr. Yang also highlighted the key features of his new WhatsMiner M6XS+ series of crypto mining rigs.

With these new devices, MicroBT is able to provide increased energy efficiency by utilizing air-cooled models, which offer a hash rate of up to 210 TH/s with an efficiency of 17 J/T. In addition, the new series of devices offers water-cooled models, such as the M63S+ and M64, which achieve hash rates of up to 450 TH/s and 206 TH/s respectively, with efficiencies ranging from 17 J/T to 19.9 J/T.

Furthermore, Dr. Yang highlighted that these crypto mining equipment are not only energy efficient, but are also capable of operating at high water outlet temperatures, opening the door to new opportunities for reusing waste heat.

Reusing waste heat from mining equipment

As mentioned, one of the most innovative aspects of MicroBT’s new WhatsMiner M6XS+ series is the ability to reuse waste heat generated by mining equipment.

In particular, water-cooled models can reach water outlet temperatures of up to 80 ℃, a feature that allows for more versatile utilization of the waste heat generated by the operations of these equipment and provides greater sustainability for the mining network. As reported by Bitcoin Magazine, Dr Yang explained that some of the use cases that can be applied to this waste heat are agricultural heating, regional heating and grid balancing.

Furthermore, the innovative hydro-cooling technology used by MicroBT in its new Bitcoin mining equipment allows for a significant reduction in the need for additional cooling sources, which improves the company's competitiveness in the renewable Bitcoin mining sector.
