The educational initiative has the support of Senator Indira Kempis, who has also been promoting the creation of new legislation that allows for healthy regulation of the cryptocurrency industry and makes Bitcoin legal in the country.

The new edition of the NGO's Bitcoin Diploma is taking place in the state represented by Kempis in the Congress of the Union, Nuevo León, specifically at the Autonomous University of Nuevo León.

Bitcoin education continues to develop in El Salvador

“My First Bitcoin” was born in El Salvador, so the NGO has been carrying out different activities and initiatives to reinforce education and knowledge about the main cryptocurrency on the market, which has been legal tender in El Salvador since September 2021.

Dennehy reported that they recently started a new Bitcoin education program at the National Institute of Usulután, supported by the local government. This new program is focused on “empowering minds and fostering the progress of the future generation of Bitcoiners,” he said.

Likewise, the founder of “My First Bitcoin” indicated that they have signed a memorandum of understanding with the Ministry of Education of El Salvador and the National Bitcoin Office to teach 150 public school teachers about the disruptive innovation of this cryptocurrency.
