ENS reached 2,8 million users in 2022

📍‌80% of current Ethereum Name Service (ENS) users will have signed up in 2022. Ethereum's decentralized domain name service, Ethereum Name Service, has reached a milestone of 2,8 million active users, with 80% of them registering for the project last year. 

ENS is a domain name system based on the Ethereum blockchain, which allows its users to create domain names for Web3. 

Square Enix sets blockchain among its goals for 2023

📍‌The Japanese game developer plans to boost its business model with blockchain. In a new year letterSquare Enix President Yosuke Matsuda today shared information about the video game company’s plans to boost its growth and evolution through blockchain technology. 

Matsuda wrote that he will resume investment in blockchain to further stimulate the growth, development and transformation of his company, considering that blockchain-based games will enter a new stage of growth this year. 

Although 2022 was marked by a series of changes and events that accentuated the bear market in the crypto industry, companies continued to innovate in the blockchain industry, adopting the technology to build new, more decentralized and self-sustaining business models. In this regard, Matsuda indicated that new technologies lead to innovation and, at the same time, create confusion before being fully accepted. 

Türkiye moves forward in adopting blockchain technology

📍‌The Republic of Türkiye will use blockchain in its public services. The country has informed its citizens that they will be able to access their public services online using a blockchain-based digital identity. This digital identity will help users verify themselves to log in through the e-Devlet portal, the nation explained, unlocking access to a wide range of public services. 

In addition, Turkey stressed that the implementation of blockchain technology in public services will help make them safer and more reliable, while also making accessibility easier for users. 

Kashi and Miso say goodbye to SushiSwap

📍‌Lack of resources has led decentralized exchange SushiSwap to shut down its Kashi and Miso projects. Kashi is a lending protocol, while Miso is the exchange’s token launching platform. 

In a tweet about the DEX’s development in 2022, Matthew Lilley, CTO of SushiSwap, indicated that both projects will be shut down this year due to lack of resources. Regarding Kashi, Lilley added that the project has a number of design flaws. 

However, in the future, he indicated that SushiSwap plans to launch new projects to replace these two platforms. At the moment, the priority is the DEX, Lilley said.
