Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) NFT owners are constantly leveraging their merchandising rights, turning images of their monkeys into all sorts of things: clothing, toys, and now candy.

The multinational candy company Mars has signed an agreement with Universal Music Group for the sale of limited edition boxes of M&M's candy based on KINGSHIP, a virtual band formed by the avatars of Mutant Ape BAYC and inspired by the virtual band Gorillaz. This band was created through an NFT by investor Jimmy McNelis and now the music label is developing original music for this group and plans to perform concerts in different worlds of the metaverse.

Included in this deal, Mars has released around 10000 limited edition gift boxes and jars of jelly beans featuring images of Kingship and Bored Apes. In addition, the firm has also released NFT key cards that provide many benefits to holders of said item. BAYC is undoubtedly one of the most famous NFTs in this business.

Also, according to data from CryptoSlam, Yuga Labs’ NFT portfolio has generated over $2,4 billion in secondary trading volume.

On the other hand, since the creation of the first NFT in 2021, this market has seen a huge increase in its trading volumes and a growing number of participants in all types of sectors.
