LABITCONF, the largest and most important conference on Bitcoin and Blockchain in Latin America, kicks off with hundreds of speakers, investors and cryptocurrency enthusiasts in El Salvador.
The entire Bitcoin crypto community is gathering in El Salvador, home of the 9th edition of the Latin American Bitcoin & Blockchain Conference (LABITCONF) This 2021, LABITCONF is the most important Bitcoin and Blockchain conference in Latin America, which brings together major leaders and the crypto community in general for a whole week to discuss the current development of these technologies, initiate new ideas and projects that guarantee their future, bring the potential of Bitcoin to everyone, and promote its use and mass adoption in the region.
LABITCONF features more than 140 expert speakers in the crypto industry, who will give more than 40 talks and presentations, in order to publicize the important advances that Bitcoin and Blockchain have had in recent years. This conference will also help the crypto community discover and explore new use cases and applications for these innovative financial technologies and motivate other countries in Latin America and the world to follow in El Salvador's footsteps to create a Bitcoin Law that promotes the massive adoption of cryptocurrency globally.
For the first time, LABITCONF was coordinated by four of the largest organizations in the crypto industry: Blockchain Summit Latam, Bitcoin Magazine, Talent Network and Bitcoin Iberoamérica.

El Salvador, epicenter of LABITCONF 2021
El Salvador, the first country in the world to adopt Bitcoin as its legal tender, is the host country of this conference this year. For an entire week, known as The Bitcoin Week, the Bitcoin crypto community will be able to enjoy various important talks, conferences, hackathons and other activities related to the crypto and blockchain world, which expose all the potential, benefits and advantages offered by the world's leading cryptocurrency and its underlying technology.
The LABITCONF agenda began on Monday, November 15, with an opening ceremony led by the ambassador of El Salvador, Milena Mayorga. The event organizers also kicked off a 2-day hackathon that seeks to motivate the creation and development of new programmable solutions based on blockchain.
Bitcoin Week Agenda
Starting today, LABITCONF will begin talks and conferences where various topics related to Lightning Network, the sidechain developed on top of Bitcoin to make the network more scalable and accessible. The conference on Lightning Network will run until Thursday 18, according to the event's agenda.
Starting tomorrow, Wednesday 17th, attendees at the Latin American conference will be able to enjoy talks dedicated to explaining the full potential of Bitcoin and its importance at a regional level. Starting on Thursday 18th, attendees will enjoy presentations with international participants who will talk about the development and advances of Bitcoin and new technologies in different areas of society. According to the agenda, the best world speakers will debate live about the philosophy of Bitcoin, the global regulatory landscape and KYC, the financial system, social impact, new developments and much more.
The conference will also feature talks dedicated to learning about the types of wallets that exist in the industry, the advantages of each one, the job opportunities offered by the crypto world, volatility and market behavior, among other topics.
Those interested who cannot attend the conference in person will be able to enjoy exclusive LABITCONF 2021 content through streaming sessions and digital content for free. LABITCONF will also dedicate spaces to the exhibition of local crafts, live music and digital art through the NFT.
