The new version of LND prioritizes sending locally generated gossip updates to all connected peers, fixes a bug that could cause channel updates to be lost, and rebroadcasts unconfirmed transactions with every block in which the transaction was not confirmed, the developers said.
LND’s improvements in its v0.16.0 update also relate to Taproot, as it will allow users to create payment channels on Lightning using this Bitcoin privacy protocol. LND 0.16.0 also includes TrackPayments, a monitoring feature designed to detect errors in payment channels.
