Enjin and MetaverseMe welcome a new generation of digital fashion games that combine the potential of NFT tokens with Augmented Reality.

The leading platform for digital games based on blockchain, Enjin, announced its recent alliance with the new augmented reality platform MetaverseMe, a union with great potential that will allow these platforms to merge the potential of blockchain technology with augmented reality, to create avatars in MetaverseMe that dress in fashion with pieces created as non-fungible tokens (NFT)

As Enjin reported via a release Officially on its website, users of the platform will now be able to introduce tradable augmented reality fashion assets within the blockchain of Ethereum.

According to Enjin, the NFT tokens from this platform can be used to dress up avatars that users own in the MetaverseMe application, which will be available to the public starting next February 23. The new augmented reality application is being developed by the American gaming platform eBallR Games. This augmented reality platform will allow users to quickly take selfies in the real world and generate hyper-realistic avatars.

Blockchain, a space for next-generation interaction

The vision of the creators of MetaverseMe is to allow users of the platform to generate hyper-realistic avatars, which closely resemble reality, and which can be created from a selfie or photo of the real world. These avatars can then come to “life” within the platform thanks to augmented reality. Likewise, Enjin explains that users will be able to dress their avatars in the fashion they prefer and then record them using these pieces or clothing designed as NFT tokens. The videos that users record of their avatars in augmented reality can be shared through social networks.

“The augmented reality mode maps users’ real-world environment, where their digital avatars can come to life as they dress and interact with their NFT fashion”.

Although it is not yet clear whether the use of this platform will be completely free, the potential that MetaverseMe is offering to the user community lays the foundation for blockchain technology, as one with the potential to create a new environment for next-generation interaction.

Augmented reality, which allows us to visualize parts or elements of the real world through a device, exists thanks to the fusion of a large number of technologies. Therefore, the integration of blockchain will further enhance the capabilities of these simulated environments. The arrival of this technology, together with NFT tokens and other cryptographic techniques, allows developers to create shared experiences through various platforms, while adding real-world value to their digital worlds in a way never seen before.

A revolution in the digital gaming economy

The creator of MetaverseMe and also CEO of eBallR Games, Martyn Hughes, said that the potential offered by the fusion of NFTs with augmented reality will “revolutionize the digital economy and gaming.” For Hughes, the ability for users to create their own designs in the form of tokens, and take them to MetaverseMe to create different genres and styles, will attract all types of users, opening the doors to new forms of digital economy.

For his part, Enjin CEO, Maxim Blagov, noted that blockchain technology and augmented reality are two technologies on a “predetermined collision course.” The similarity that both technologies share will soon be able to ascend across the entire Internet, according to Blagov; he also expressed a sense of pride and excitement in being able to team up with MetaverseMe to make this a reality.

“Pluriform”, MetaverseMe’s first collection of NFT tokens

MetaverseMe is set to launch to the public next February, and its first NFT fashion collection is called “Pluriform.” This collection encompasses a limited series of digital-only fashion items created through an ongoing partnership between Enjin, Atari, MetaverseMe, and The Fabricant.

Enjin explains that the “Pluriform” NFT tokens will be available only until February 28, and after that date, all unsold supply will be burned at the close of the offering. Users who own NFT tokens from the limited Pluriform collection will be able to use them within other gaming platforms such as MyMetaverse  de Minecraft, and The Six Dragons, which will soon be available on PS5. Users will also be able to use their NFT tokens in the digital tailoring services of Dress X.

Blockchain-based digital gaming project Enjin is making its way as one of the most solid projects in this industry, having entered into a large number of partnerships to consolidate its vision of becoming a blockchain-based application development and trading environment.
