Elon Musk - BIt2Me News

There is no business that the founder of Paypal, SpaceX and Tesla is not interested in. The richest man in the world regularly sells products that have nothing to do with his field of business in technology. For example, in the past he sold a flamethrower for 500 euros or bottles of tequila. The latest of his businesses is the launch of an extravagant perfume called "Burnt Hair".

The fragrance can be purchased for $100 on the website of his infrastructure company, The Boring Company. Musk has also been quick to promote the product on Twitter, encouraging his followers to buy it while joking that they should “buy the perfume so he can buy Twitter.”

So far, business is booming, as the perfume, described as "the essence of disgusting desire," is selling out non-stop, with 20.000 units already sold, or in other words, more than two million euros in profits since its launch was announced a few days ago.

Elon Musk is under investigation for his purchase of Twitter

Meanwhile, the US government is investigating Musk for his handling of the Twitter purchase: first a proposal, then a retraction, and finally the presentation of the initial terms of the purchase.

According to documents filed Thursday with the court in charge of the case, the U.S. government has been investigating Musk since April through the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC).

Twitter's legal representatives have also asked the court to request from Musk's lawyers the conversations held between the billionaire and the government regarding these investigations.

On October 6, the United States judiciary gave Elon Musk until October 28 to close the purchase of the social network if he wants to avoid a trial.

Before that, the Tesla founder had asked for the suspension of the process with which Twitter wants to force Musk to buy the company for the 44 million dollars of the agreement, seeking as an objective the closing of the last details.

Musk asks the Pentagon for money to send satellites to Ukraine

SpaceX, one of the companies run by Elon Musk, has requested funding from the Pentagon in a letter to continue sending satellites to Ukraine. The letter explained that it can no longer fund satellite services in Ukraine and asked the Pentagon to cover the costs for the Ukrainian military and government use of Starlink, stressing that if the US government does not provide tens of millions of dollars each month, the donations could soon end.

Since the start of the war in Ukraine, Musk has been sending up satellites from his SpaceX Starlink telecommunications service to alleviate internet service problems caused by the bombings, with the cost of the service currently reaching $80 million.
