What is the Las Vegas Loop?
The Loop is a underground tunnel system where users can catch Tesla vehicles driven by other people and move from one stop to another, similar to what a network of subway tunnels would be.
The new Loop station is located under a tourist complex integrated into what is known as Resorts World Las Vegas and is the fourth stop on the Las Vegas Convention Center Loop, which has a total length of 2,7 kilometers (1,7 miles).
TBC and Tesla work together to deploy the company's autonomous vehicles in the tunnel network, so that drivers can be dispensed with.
This system is very different from Elon Musk's original idea, which he called the hyperloops, which consisted of a network of pressurized tunnels, in which magnetic propulsion is used to move capsules with travelers from one station to another at very high speeds.
