📍Bitcoin gains 2,6% after Jerome Powell's latest speech. Bitcoin price surged on Wednesday, surpassing $17.190 per unit. Following Fed Chairman Jerome Powell's speech on inflation at the Brookings Institute in Washington, Bitcoin has seen a growth of almost 3%.
During his speech, Powell made it clear that inflation levels remain very high, so the increase in interest rates will continue for some time. However, the president of the Federal Reserve did not rule out the possibility of a slowdown in interest rates at its next meeting scheduled for December 14.
Powell's remarks pushed Bitcoin to trade above $17.190 per unit on Wednesday, its best streak in the past 3 weeks.

Animoca Brands to launch metaverse fund to help companies enter Web3
📍Video game software developer Animoca Brands plans to launch a fund of up to $2.000 billion focused on the metaverse. Yat Sui, co-founder and president of the company developing the decentralized metaverse The Sandbox, reported that Animoca Brands’ new fund will invest in the metaverse business, including NFTs and digital land. Through this new fund, the company will also provide assistance to companies interested in exploring the world of Web3.
Temasek, Singapore state-owned fund GGV Capital and Mirae Asset Management are among the investors in Animoca Brands’ new fund, as well as native crypto companies such as Sky Mavis, developer of Axie Infinity; Opensea, Dapper Labs, among others.
Software company Animoca Brands also recently reported that it is supporting Binance in its crypto industry recovery initiative.
NFT sales up 10% monthly
📍The most traded NFT collections in the last week are CryptoPunks, Bored Ape and Mutant Ape. According to Opensea data, sales in the top 10 NFT collections have increased by 10,6% over the past 30 days.
CryptoPunks, Bored Ape Yacht Club, and Mutant Ape Yacht Club remain the most traded digital collectibles in the crypto market, with sales volumes up 35%, 83%, and 50% month-on-month, respectively.
Other NFT collections, such as Otherdeed, have seen more moderate growth in sales, up 10% month-on-month. On the other hand, Opensea statistics show that sales in NFT projects Art Gobblers, Clone X, Ethereum Name Service and Azuki have all declined over the past month.

Colombia advances in crypto regulation
📍Colombian lawmakers recently approved a bill that establishes the rules for the operation of exchanges in the country. The bill in question, called #139 of 2021, was approved by the House of Representatives unanimously, the chamber reported in a release.
With this bill, Colombia establishes the Single Registry of Cryptoasset Platforms in Colombia (RUPIC) and imposes a series of requirements that exchanges and cryptocurrency service platforms must meet in order to operate legally in the country.
Congressman Julián López, representative to the Colombian Chamber for Valle del Cauca, stated that the requirements, duties and prohibitions established by bill #139 of 2021 will benefit cryptocurrency users and investors, allowing them to ensure that they are using a serious company and not a pyramid scheme or something similar. López also stated that the bill in question will help boost the Colombian economy, generate new jobs and mitigate inflation levels.
For the enactment of Bill #139 of 2021, the approval of the Colombian Senate is required.
