Polygon Labs has announced the integration of Safe into the Polygon zkEVM scalability solution to enable application developers to build on top of the Safe SDK’s account abstraction stack. Safe is implemented in Polygon zkEVM

📍‌The implementation of the Safe protocol in Polygon zkEVM will allow developers to use the Safe SDK in a wide range of use cases. The Polygon Labs team highlighted that this implementation gives app developers on the Polygon Network access to Safe SDK tools, so they can fully leverage the power of smart wallets and modular account abstraction for a wide range of use cases, including gaming and decentralized social networks. 

Polygon Labs mentioned that Safe's features represent a game-changer in blockchain development, integrating functions that facilitate the access and use of this technology.

With the implementation of Safe on Polygon zkEVM, the decentralized escrow protocol is now available on over a dozen blockchain networks, including other Ethereum layer 2 solutions such as Arbitrum and Optimism.

SushiSwap Expands to Aptos

📍‌Decentralized protocol SushiSwap will be integrated into the Aptos blockchain. This is the first blockchain that the decentralized exchange has expanded to that is not compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM).

On X, SushiSwap developers explained that the integration into Aptos represents a milestone in their strategy to Becoming a multichain protocol, to offer its users a whole new level of trading experience on the DEX and to reinforce its leadership in the blockchain industry landscape.  

Aptos is a layer 1 blockchain focused on scalability, reliability, security, and usability. 

SushiSwap developers have indicated that they will leverage Aptos’ Move programming language to power the v2 version of their AMM (Automated Market Maker) protocol. 

Philippines opts for a CBDC for wholesale use

📍‌The Philippine central bank will begin the first trials for a wholesale CBDC as part of its Agila project. According to the central bank, the CBDC tests will be carried out using the Hyperledger Fabric network. 

The Philippine central bank’s goal in developing a wholesale CBDC is to build a seamless, always-operating interbank transaction system that also enables the country’s fiat currency to integrate programming functionality to adapt to the needs of the digital age.

Eli Remolona, ​​Governor of the Central Bank of the Philippines, stressed that the initial tests of the wholesale CBDC will help understand the potential of digital currencies, to better assess their capabilities and benefits for the financial system at large.
