📍Continuing with the fever of central banks for CBDC, Central Bank of Jamaica confirmed that will implement a digital currency equivalent to the Jamaican dollar, although he stressed that it is not a cryptocurrency. 📍In Latin America, governments continue to take initiatives for the development of technology blockchain. In this case, Paraguay announced that will be granting financing through the National Council of Science and Technology (Conacyt) for those companies or legal entities that wish to develop projects based on this technology, in addition to other projects based on Artificial Intelligence (IA), Big Data, Quantum Computing, Internet of Things (IoT), mining, among others. The maximum funding will be $27.500 USD, and projects must focus on addressing and solving highly complex problems present in the different areas of computing, science and technology. 

📍In technology, the American web domain registration company, VeriSign achieved the approval of a license to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). It explains how to apply blockchain to domain names to provide greater security to this system. In this way, traditional addresses can become “blockchain user addresses” to interact with other users and networks, while implementing new security techniques to verify and validate the identity of users.

(I.e.Bitmain, one of the world's largest mining equipment manufacturers, loses ground in the ASIC equipment industry, as a dispute continues between its founding partners for control of the company. Since October of last year, Zhan Ketuan y Jihan Wu, co-founders of Bitmain, entered into dispute when Wu fired Zhan apparently without just cause. Zhan has since filed a lawsuit against Wu and the two have been controlling parts of the Bitmain company separately. Now Wu registered a new company, called Guiji Yanghang, under the group Beijing Bitmain Technology Group which controls Bitmain, with the intention of controlling the mining manufacturer's supply chain. Now the situation has reached such a point that it is leading the company to lose part of its dominance and leadership in the industry. 

📍In security, the botnet Prometheus was discovered by the cybersecurity firm Cisco Talos from the Cisco Systems company. The botnet, which had already reached around 5.000 computers, was used to mine Monero. It is estimated that the hacker behind the botnet managed to mine about $1.250 USD on average per month, so he accumulated about $5.000 USD until he was discovered.
