While industry data indicates a sharp decline in NFT sales in recent times, it is worth noting that there are several individual cases that indicate that interest in these assets is not so much due to large volume, but rather to the fact that they provide value. Thus, CryptoPunk NFT #2924 was recently sold for 3300 ETH, which is almost 4,5 million dollars.
This CryptoPunk has been sold by NFT collector speedphrase and it is undoubtedly one of the highest prices ever paid for a CryptoPunk. The previous highest price was reached in February 2022 when Punk #8522 was sold for 8000 ETH, which is about $24 million at the time, the highest price ever paid for a punk to date.

CryptoPunk 2924 was sold last Thursday and is one of 24 punk apes, the 38th rarest out of a total of 10,000 that were created in 2017 by Larva Labs. This CryptoPunk wears a hood and was last sold for 150 ETH, which in November 2020 was about $71400.
Also in March 2022, Yuga Labs, creator of the Bored Apes Yacht Club (BAYC) and Mutant Apes Yacht Club (MAYC) NFT collections, purchased the CryptoPunks intellectual property from Larva Labs. As such, the floor price of Bored Ape Yacht Club NFTs saw a 25 percent increase within 24 hours of the announcement on March 12.
CryptoPunks were the NFTs that dominated the market during 2021, until December, when they were surpassed in price by Bored Apes when the minimum price of this collection reached 54 ETH, surpassing the 52,8 of the CryptoPunk collection on December 22 on OpenSea. In just under a month, BYAC's trading volume doubled that of CryptoPunk.
With this latest sale, CryptoPunk NFTs have broken away from the bear market, highlighting strong resistance and maintaining the range of 75 ETH and selling at an average price of 100 ETH. The trading volume of this collection has thus registered a twenty-five percent increase between August XNUMX and XNUMX.
