Next week a new digital art project in tribute to David Bowie called Bowie on the Blockchain. This project will feature the participation of a total of 9 NFT artists who have created, from different perspectives, their own tribute to their idol based on his influence on their own personal and artistic identities.

The sale will take place through the NFT marketplace OpenSea and will begin on September 13. The project was created in collaboration with the We Love The Arts company and is an alternative that has been approved by David Bowie's heirs. All profits from the project will go to CARE, an association that carries out humanitarian work in more than 100 countries, of which Iman, Bowie's widow, is a member.
The project will also feature film producer Joaquin Acrich, FEWOCiOUS, JAKE and Nadya Tolokonnikova of Pussy Riot, who has publicly stated that for her “Bowie is a platonic ideal of an artist: charismatic, passionate, imaginative, magnetic and who always puts art and curiosity first, a magician.”

Also scheduled for this month is the release of Moonage Daydream, Brett Morgen's acclaimed film about David Bowie, which will arrive in Peru, Argentina, Chile and Bolivia on September 15, in Mexico on the 16th and in Spain on the 23rd.
For his part, Andrew Keller, co-founder of We Love The Arts, has stated about the project that “there is a big visual component in everything Bowie did, who was also a painter and art collector. In this way, this collection is about entering this space and relating to NFT artists in their world.”
