Ethereum-based blockchain software company ConsenSys integrates its Quorum solution with Microsoft Azure services to further expand its blockchain capabilities.

In a Press release Shared on Monday, the American technology and software company blockchain, ConsenSys, announced that it will integrate its service Quorum, formerly of JPMorgan, to Microsoft Azure, as a way to further expand its capabilities and enhance its products with customers of the cloud computing service of Microsoft, one of the most important technological multinationals in the world.

Joseph Lubin, founder and CEO of ConsenSys, explained that its integration with Microsoft Azure will allow more companies and organizations to take advantage of the benefits of ConsenSys Quorum, such as customer support, to offer their users a “Enterprise-grade managed blockchain service that can be effortlessly configured and deployed”

According to Lubin, the blockchain software company's vision is to offer an easy path for Microsoft customers and business partners to create new and innovative services based on blockchain technology, which in turn will take advantage of the potential of cloud services to ensure efficiency, security, reliability and privacy in transactions. In addition to this, the company explains that Microsoft Azure customers will be able to enjoy the ability to easily configure flexible blockchain nodes, which will help reduce costs in the implementation of enterprise blockchains and programming time for developers.

Development on the Ethereum blockchain

cryptocurrencies, , altcoins, token usage de DeFi, and all the products that are developed in the crypto industry are growing in adoption and interest at an accelerated pace, forcing companies to adapt to the new digital era and develop effective and cutting-edge solutions that meet the demands and requests of consumers and users.

Even central banks around the world are preparing to launch their own digital currencies (CBDC), a tool with which they seek to facilitate access to efficient and inclusive, although highly centralized, financial services.

Given this reality, the integration of Quorum into Microsoft Azure cloud services seeks to facilitate development on the blockchain of Ethereum, the decentralized network for creating and programming decentralized applications (dApps) and smart contracts (smart contracts) par excellence.

Quorum, an open-source protocol layer acquired by ConsenSys from JPMorgan in late 2020, facilitates the development of various projects, services and enterprise applications on the Ethereum chain, as adoption and interest in digital markets and products grows.

ConsenSys and Microsoft Azure

Quorum's integration with Microsoft Azure is not the first collaboration that ConsenSys has with the technology giant. In 2019, ConsenSys announced that its blockchain service Kaleido It would be integrated into Microsoft Azure, as a business service platform for building modern solutions, available in the company's Marketplace.

Through its technological solutions, ConsenSys seeks to offer performance, security and scalability for the development of modern, efficient and global solutions that provide value to consumers. For its part, Microsoft Azure offers a cloud computing service with different functionalities to facilitate the construction, implementation, deployment and management of applications and services through the use of its data centers.

Together, the two platforms will drive highly flexible and efficient blockchains that are easy to deploy and manage, removing the complexity of building, developing and managing enterprise blockchains, Lubin concluded.

In mid-April, ConsenSys announced a $65 million investment round, which will be used to strengthen its solutions focused on DeFi and Web3 development on Ethereum. Renowned companies such as JPMorgan, MakerDAO and Protocol Labs participated in this investment round.
