Connect, Sony's Web3 application for its users to manage NFTs

Sony Bank, one of the subsidiaries of Sony Group Corporation, has launched a Web3 application called Connect, to offer users a more optimized experience when managing and interacting with NFTs.

According to the statement shared by the company, the new application, which was presented on July 31, is focused on Web3 entertainment, allowing users to enjoy their NFT token collections in an intuitive and secure way.

The Japanese bank emphasized that Connect can be used for free by all those interested in exploring the world of Web3, from beginners to more experienced users. The new application facilitates interaction with new technologies, minimizing their complexity, such as paying gas rates, which ensures “an expansive emotional experience that anyone can easily enjoy with peace of mind,” the bank said.

Connect, an app to integrate NFTs into everyday life

Connect offers a unique Web3 entertainment experience as users can use the app to browse and appreciate their own crypto collections or NFT token galleries.

On the other hand, the Web3 app is connected to Sony Group's non-fungible token market, SNFT, which further expands the possibilities of users in the digital world. For example, the bank noted that users can set their favorite non-fungible tokens on SNFT as widgets on the home screen of their cell phones. Likewise, the app integrates a function called Room 3D, which allows you to easily configure and play 3D galleries maintained on the market platform. With all this, Sony seeks to ensure new levels of entertainment experiences through non-fungible tokens, Indian.

“Sony Bank Connect is a smartphone app that allows you to view your NFT collection anytime, anywhere”Sony said.

Connect also integrates a notifications function with which Sony will connect more directly with its user community. The bank assured that through this feature it will deliver various advertisements and messages that will accelerate the Web3 entertainment experience of its users.

But, in addition to the functions already integrated into the new app, Sony Bank promises to add new ones in the future that will further enrich the experience and usefulness for users on Web3. According to the bank, these new features will be developed to connect and expand Connect to a more emotional experience.

Regarding Web3, Sony Bank emphasized that it is a new generation of Internet, which is based on blockchain technology and that, being decentralized, allows users to manage their data and interact directly with each other in ways never seen before.

Sony develops its own blockchain for Web3 entertainment

The Japanese giant has been venturing into the world of blockchain technology for some time now, exploring different tools that can help its users immerse themselves and explore Web3. For example, last year, Sony announced the creation and development of its own blockchain, focused on entertainment.

The Sony blockchain is developed as part of a strategic partnership between Sony Network Communications and the company Startale Labs, and will allow the creation of different blockchain projects, ranging from collections of NFT tokens to metaverse platforms, games, commerce and education.

With this important development, Sony's goal is to take advantage of its prominent role in the world of entertainment and music to attract new users and strengthen its expansion in the digital era.
