
The city of Mendoza, located in western Argentina, wants to be known worldwide as a Crypto-Friendly city.
Ulpiano Suarez, mayor of Mendoza, announced that the Argentine city will begin free training on Bitcoin, cryptocurrencies and decentralized finance (DeFi) next month, to bring its citizens closer to the potential of these technological innovations.
Suarez noted that he is in favor of cryptocurrencies and that he will support initiatives that promote crypto education, in order to Turn Mendoza into a city friendly to new technologies and cryptoassets.
During the meeting “Late crypto and new technologies”, organized by the NGO Bitcoin Argentina in the city of Mendoza earlier this month, the city's mayor also spoke about the alternatives and opportunities that cryptocurrencies are providing to Argentines and highlighted the need for the city to break with the lack of information that exists around these financial innovations.

The mayor of Mendoza promised to bring crypto education to the city through various training sessions that will be led by professionals and experts in the industry.
Along these lines, he reported that Next August, a free training course will begin to educate about Bitcoin and new technologies.
The training will be conducted by the Bitcoin NGO of Argentina and will include topics on the current monetary context, the importance of cryptocurrencies, regulatory status, and also on the characteristics and potential of blockchain technology.
Also, to delve deeper into the potential of the crypto industry, The city will also host a training focused on decentralized finance, also called DeFi.
The training will allow participants to understand basic aspects of this new financial ecosystem, as well as discover how new finances and new technologies are opening new horizons for everyone, said the mayor.
Suarez has set his sights on cryptocurrencies and new technologies and wants to turn Mendoza into the next world-renowned Crypto-Friendly city.
