Cardano makes DApp development easier with Demeter

Cardano has integrated Demeter, a solution designed to make it easier for developers to create decentralized applications or DApps on its blockchain ecosystem.

Demeter is a software platform that integrates several development tools to simplify the work of blockchain application developers.

The integration of this platform into the Cardano ecosystem, which was announced in the middle of this month, allows blockchain developers to easily and quickly implement testnet and mainnet environments, making the creation of decentralized applications be easier

Through Demeter, developers have access to tools such as Cardano-submit-API, Ogmios, Kupo, Hydra, Marlowe, Kuber, among others, simplifying their use and the deployment of new projects that contribute to innovation within the Cardano ecosystem.

TxPipe, the company behind the development of Demeter, explained that the goal with this platform is Helping developers get started on the Cardano network, speeding up entry into one of the most promising blockchain ecosystems in the crypto industry.

The company received a grant from the Cardano Foundation to accelerate its innovative software development platform.

Demeter removes barriers to building on Cardano

Cardano, which is currently the 8th largest cryptocurrency in the world, with a market capitalization of $ 10.300 million dollars, is also one of the most interesting blockchain ecosystems that exist today.

However, as the Cardano Foundation points out, this blockchain ecosystem is also full of complexities that can overwhelm many developers in their early stages.

In its blog, the Cardano Foundation highlighted that getting started with development on the network can be quite a challenge, due to the level of technical knowledge required to manage the individual components that make up Cardano.

The deployment of Demeter is therefore essential to “address some of the challenges associated with developing applications on the blockchain”, removing the barriers to entry for those who want to build DApps on Cardano and, thereby, accelerating the incorporation of new developers into this ecosystem, the Foundation explained.

«Demeter is meant to make development on Cardano an easy task.»

A more developer-friendly network

The Cardano network maintains a minimalist approach when it comes to its core components, requiring developers to simultaneously use multiple tools for building and deploying new DApps.

However, through Demeter, Cardano becomes a more developer-friendly and accessible blockchain.

TxPipe's solution reduces the need to use multiple tools at once, while optimizing the use of computing resources.

As noted by the Cardano Foundation, connecting to multiple Cardano networks can make resource requirements prohibitive for some developers. However, because Demeter is a cloud-based solution, it allows multiple participants to share the cost of the infrastructure, “encouraging more developers to join the Cardano ecosystem.”

The Cardano blockchain recorded the highest level of development activity in September, with a total of 572 events on its GitHub repositories.
