What's new and changing for 2025
This year, the income tax return not only brings changes in dates, but also in regulations and requirements:
- Card payment control: Issuing entities must report on operations that exceed the 25.000 Euros annually per card, in order to combat tax fraud and improve transparency in digital transactions.
- Increased limit for multiple payers: The limit for workers with multiple payers has been increased 2.500 Euros, up from 1.500 euros previously. This is particularly beneficial for those with temporary contracts or multiple jobs.
- Obligation for unemployed: All unemployment benefit recipients must file a tax return, regardless of their income, as a measure to ensure the correct reporting of public aid.
- New payment methods: Bizum is introduced as a payment option for the declaration, along with traditional transfers and card payments, adapting to new technologies and facilitating the payment process.
- Extension of reduction for employment income: The limit for this reduction has been raised to 7.302 Euros, allowing taxpayers to reduce their tax base and therefore pay less taxes.
