Brave web browser users can explore Web3 with significantly lower transaction fees, thanks to the integration of the Solana blockchain into the web browser.
Brave, an open-source, privacy-focused web browser, has integrated the Solana blockchain to make Web3 easier to access and more accessible for everyone.
The web browser developers have informed their users that they can now explore Web3 with significantly lower transaction fees and faster processing times than on the Ethereum blockchain. This is thanks to the fact that they have integrated the Solana scalability blockchain, which offers one of the highest throughputs in the crypto industry and lower commission fees than on the most popular networks.

Brave developers also reported that, in the coming months, their alliance with Solana will also facilitate continued access to one of the fastest-growing blockchain ecosystems today.
Solana is home to thousands of projects and decentralized applications (DApps) focused on DeFi, NFTs, the Metaverse, Web3, and more.
Solana joins Brave in version 1.39
Brave version 1.39 integrates a first set of features that will allow users to access the Solana ecosystem from a web browser.
Firstly, the integration allows Brave users to send, receive and store Solana (SOL) and Solana Program Library (SPL) tokens directly in the Brave Wallet. In addition to this, it also connects Brave's reward and utility token, Basic Attention Token (BAT), to the Solana blockchain, to convert it into an SPL token that users can leverage to boost their utility in the Solana ecosystem.
As part of the blockchain integration, Brave users will also be able to access Solana DApps from the desktop version of the browser in the future.
Brave developers have said that this first feature pack is part of the deep collaboration they have been developing with Solana since last year and that it seeks to democratize access to Web3 and increase utility in the next generation of the decentralized Internet.
Brave's BAT token is also coming to Magic Eden
The strategic partnership with Solana will also allow Brave to integrate its rewards and utility token, BAT, into the most popular NFT marketplace on the blockchain, Magic Eden.
In this way, Brave users will be able, in the future, to buy and sell NFTs on Solana's Magic Eden marketplace using their BAT tokens. The Twitter account of this NFT marketplace, which moves more than $8,4 million in trading volume per day, has confirmed its partnership with the web browser.
Last November, Solana co-founder Anatoly Yakovenko said he would work with Brave to bring the best features of its blockchain to the web browser and help DApps create the best experiences. Meanwhile, Brave CEO and co-founder Brendan Eich said their partnership with Solana would empower the next billion users to enter Web3.
Brave will be releasing new features in the coming months to enable Solana DEX and allow for token trading within the network. It will also offer support for NFTs and integrate its Themis protocol into this blockchain.
