Bitcoin, a highly profitable asset over the years

According to data from Bitcoin Magazine Pro, Bitcoin has been the most profitable digital asset over the past decade, outperforming all existing traditional and digital assets.

Bitcoin, the leading cryptocurrency by market capitalization, has emerged as one of the most exciting and profitable assets in the financial world.

This cryptocurrency has captured the attention of investors, analysts and enthusiasts alike, thanks to its remarkable growth and its attractive potential as a store of value.

Since its creation, Bitcoin's profitability over the years has been more than impressive. According to the platform's data, Bitcoin has been profitable for 5.020 of the last 5.096 days, compared to its current price of around $66.500 per BTC. This means that the leading cryptocurrency has been profitable by 98,5% since it began to be traded on the market.

A digital asset on the rise, with growing global relevance

The profitability that Bitcoin has maintained over the years since its inception counters the common narrative that it is too risky a digital asset for investors. As the platform highlights, most of the days that the cryptocurrency has traded on the market have been profitable. This suggests that those investors and holders who have maintained their BTC holdings over the past 14 years have reaped significant profits.

This profitability has been linked to different factors, including its acceptance as a legitimate medium of exchange and its growing recognition as a store of value. More recently, cryptocurrency has been legitimized as a promising investment asset, listed on major stock exchanges around the world, such as the United States, the United Kingdom and Hong Kong, through ETFs.

However, despite its impressive track record, volatility is something inherent to Bitcoin. The cryptocurrency has experienced wild price fluctuations that can prove dramatic for many investors. Still, history has shown that those who have acquired the cryptocurrency with a long-term approach are usually rewarded. This has further reinforced its narrative as a reliable store of value and a safe haven asset against inflation and economic uncertainty.

Bitcoin price has seen impressive growth

Bitcoin's price growth since its launch has been meteoric. In its early days, the cryptocurrency was virtually unknown and had almost no value.

Then, as people began to take an interest in the cryptocurrency, its price began to rise exponentially. Charts recording the price of Bitcoin in its early days show that the cryptocurrency was worth just a few cents. However, as of today, it is worth over $66.500 per unit.

This impressive growth has been driven by the technological innovation that accompanies Bitcoin, blockchain technology, as well as the growing acceptance by merchants and businesses and the progressive interest of institutional investors, which is increasing every day.

According to Bitcoin Magazine Pro, since the cryptocurrency began trading on August 17, 2010, its market price has gone from just about $0,07 to approximately $66.500 today. This represents an astonishing increase of 94.999.900%, despite the multiple boom and bust cycles the cryptocurrency has experienced over the years since its launch.

“This steady upward trajectory highlights Bitcoin’s sustained growth and increasing adoption over time”, stressed Nik Hoffman, the publication's news chief.

Limited supply and growing global adoption

According to the publication, Bitcoin's already impressive profitability may continue to increase as more people adopt the cryptocurrency as a safe haven asset. This is mainly due to its limited supply on the market.

One of the most distinctive aspects of the cryptocurrency is that it is designed to have a maximum supply of 21 million units, making Bitcoin a fairly scarce digital asset. This feature, combined with a growing global demand, has created an environment conducive to the exponential rise in its price. Therefore, as more people and companies adopt the cryptocurrency, the pressure on its supply intensifies, which in turn could drive its value in the market.

Although the future is uncertain and impossible to predict, the price increase of Bitcoin has been an evident phenomenon in recent years, along with the growth in the number of individuals and financial institutions that have adopted the cryptocurrency, considering it as an integral part of their investment strategies.

Based on the above, Bitcoin Magazine highlighted that Bitcoin's profitability could reach 99% and potentially exceed this percentage in the future, as its adoption continues to expand around the world.
