
Americans who invest in cryptocurrencies prefer Bitcoin, Dogecoin and Ethereum, according to the results of Finder's cryptocurrency adoption report, published this month.
Bitcoin continues to be the preferred cryptocurrency among investors in the United States. According to the results of Finder's Crypto Asset Adoption Index, the most capitalized cryptocurrency in the industry is also the most popular among US investors.
According to this Index, which measures the growth of cryptocurrencies in a total of 26 countries, 35% of people who invest in crypto assets in the United States own Bitcoin.
Finder surveyed a total of 7.505 internet users in the country for its cryptoasset adoption report this month. According to statistics, the adoption rate of crypto assets in the United States is 13%; which is 2% lower than the world average.
However, although India is the country leading the way in crypto adoption, with an adoption rate of 29%, the United States has the largest number of cryptoasset ATMs installed to date and, according to another study carried out by the Crypto Head platform, qualifies as the country more prepared for mass adoption of cryptocurrencies.

More than 30 million Americans invest in cryptocurrencies
Finder's Crypto Asset Adoption Index estimates that they are about 33,8 million people who invest in cryptocurrencies in the United States.
As the graph shows, the most popular cryptocurrencies among American crypto investors are Bitcoin (BTC), with 35% adoption; Dogecoin (DOGE), with 24% and Ethereum (ETH), with 23%.
Another of the most popular cryptocurrencies among investors who claim to own crypto assets is Cardano (ADA), with 20% adoption.

The results of this month's cryptoasset adoption report show that Cryptocurrency ownership among Americans tripled in the last quarter. In his previous report, corresponding to the month of March of this year, Finder had indicated that only one 10,5 % of American investors owned crypto assets.
Regarding Bitcoin, the platform points out that in countries such as Ghana, Australia and South Africa, investors are more willing to invest in this cryptocurrency.

The gender gap in cryptocurrency adoption
On the other hand, Finder's Crypto Asset Adoption Index reveals that, currently, they are Male investors most exposed to Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in the United States. The results of the report indicate that 73% of cryptocurrency investors are men, while only 27% of crypto asset owners are women.
According to the platform, the gender gap in the crypto industry is smaller in Vietnam, where male and female investors' exposure to cryptocurrencies is more balanced.
In relation to age, the platform indicated that they are younger investors, ages 18 to 34, who are more open to cryptocurrencies. Currently, 63% of US investors who own cryptocurrencies are within this age range, Finder noted.

Unlike other countries, the United States has a more robust financial infrastructure to deal with crypto adoption. Additionally, regulators have been more open to the cryptocurrency industry as digital assets gain popularity among investors and citizens.
Recently, the United States Federal Reserve (FED) reported that it is holding talks with regulators and technology experts in order to discuss the crypto market, its benefits and its risks. The US central bank believes that cryptocurrencies could have a positive impact on the country's economy.
