Bitcoin and Lightning Network join publisher monetization tools MASH and TFTC

MASH and TFTC team up to integrate a suite of Bitcoin and Lightning Network-powered tools that seek to optimize publishers' opportunities to monetize their content.

Media monetization platform MASH and Bitcoin-focused media company TFTC are revolutionizing the way content publishers can monetize and users can interact with their favorite authors.

Content monetization has become one of the main sources of income for creators, and through the innovative technologies of Bitcoin and Lightning Network, MASH and TFTC seek to optimize this process, to offer publishers and creators a superior experience, as well as tools with which they can approach their audiences in a more direct and authentic way.

Through X (formerly Twitter), MASH announced the integration of micropayments using Bitcoin and the Lightning Network, expanding the options for publishers and creators to earn revenue from their content. TFTC also announced its collaboration with MASH and the relaunch of its publishing platform, which is now geared toward curated content.

Marty Bent, co-founder and CEO of TFTC, highlighted that the impressive progress that Bitcoin and the Lightning Network have made in recent years “is enabling interactions that have never been possible on the web before.” These innovative technologies make it possible for both creators and audiences to grow in a robust and autonomous way.

Monetize in a fun and innovative way with Bitcoin and Lightning Network

Together with TFTC, MASH has launched a new monetization toolkit and engagement hub that includes everything from reactions and emojis to micropayments powered by the Bitcoin blockchain. The media monetization platform is adopting the Lightning Network scalability solution to enable publishers to provide their audiences with fun ways to engage that can generate revenue.

Specifically, MASH and TFTC allow publishers and content creators to offer paid content to their followers by setting smaller commitments and engagement rewards, as well as receive micropayments and instant Bitcoin donations with a single click.

Through the new tools, creators will be able to directly engage and connect with their audiences, while users will be able to proactively interact and contribute to their favorite authors and creators, leaving behind the inflexibility and unsustainability of traditional monetization methods.

Creators can set up a Lightning Network address to collect peer-to-peer (P2P) donations and micropayments on social media from anywhere in the world. MASH’s new Bitcoin-powered monetization tools also allow users to make “message donations” to express their support to publishers and creators, “react” to integrate their feelings into content, and use animations to support high-quality content.

TFTC is also featuring curated content from well-known authors such as Parker Lewis, Jordan Schachtel, and Whitney Webb. The goal of its relaunch is to expand its content while retaining the transparency, efficiency, and freedom that Bitcoin offers as the open and native form of money for the digital age.

For now, the new MASH and TFTC monetization toolkit is available in limited beta. However, both platforms are preparing for a more expansive rollout and have opened a waiting list for those interested in monetizing online content using Bitcoin and the Lightning Network.
